The Surgery Below a photo of the surgery to give you an impression of the environment you will be treated in. Restful colour combinations and plants soften the otherwise clinical cleanliness which is essential in any surgery. The practice is fully computerised with flat screen computer terminals and a digital x-ray system which reduces the radiation compared to a conventional analog x-ray machine. We also have an air abrasion machine which can deal with small, early stage tooth decay without the use of the drill by using a hand piece which emits a strong airflow filled with powder particles. For advanced tooth decay and removal of old fillings this technology is unfortunately not suitable. An intra-oral camera allows us to show you the inside of your mouth on a screen in front of you. We will always ask you if you want to see this, as from experience we know that some people are extremely interested yet others really do not want to be exposed to that much detail. We find it a useful educational tool as being able to discuss the images on screen make explaining treatment options much easier.
